This month marks a very special milestone for us at CE People – our second birthday.
While two years may not sound like a long time, when we look back at everything that has happened since launching the business, it’s hard to believe how much we’ve achieved in such a short space of time.
What started as an idea between Claire and Emma has grown into an award-winning HR consultancy, a team of four, a trusted partner to businesses across the Northamptonshire region, and a business we’re incredibly proud to call our own.
As we celebrate our second anniversary, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our journey so far, recognise some of the milestones we’ve reached, and most importantly, say thank you.
It All Started With a Conversation
Like many businesses, CE People started with a simple conversation.
Claire approached Emma with an idea.
What if businesses could access expert HR support that was practical, approachable and genuinely focused on helping people and organisations succeed?
That conversation became a plan, the plan became a business, and before long we were launching our website, signing our first clients and officially opening our doors.
We had no idea then where the next two years would take us.
From Two Founders to a Growing Team
One of our proudest achievements has been growing our team.
Hiring your first employee is a huge milestone for any business, and welcoming Soeli to CE People was a moment we’ll never forget.
Fast forward to 2026 and we welcomed Olivia to the team too, taking us from two founders to a team of four talented individuals who share the same passion for supporting SMEs and helping people thrive at work.
Watching the business grow has been incredibly rewarding, but building a team that genuinely cares about our clients has been even more special.
Supporting Businesses Through Change
Over the last two years, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside businesses of all sizes, supporting them through recruitment, employee relations, compliance, wellbeing initiatives, restructures, growth plans and everything in between.
Most recently, we’ve helped clients navigate significant employment law changes, including updates brought about by the Employment Rights Act.
The world of HR never stands still, and we’re proud to be the trusted partner our clients turn to when they need guidance, support and practical solutions.
Recognition We Never Expected
There have been a few moments over the last two years that have left us genuinely speechless.
One of those was being named Breathe Partner of the Year, at the Breathe Partner Summit.
To receive national recognition from one of the UK’s leading HR software providers was an incredible honour and a reflection of the hard work our team puts into supporting our clients every day.
We also achieved Breathe Platinum Partner Status in under two years of business, progressing through every partner level from Bronze to Platinum.
These achievements aren’t just awards to us. They’re a reflection of the trust our clients place in us and the relationships we’ve built together.
Giving Back to Our Community
From day one, we knew we wanted CE People to be about more than just business.
That’s why we’re incredibly proud to support The Tor-Rox Foundation as our charity partner.
Over the last year we’ve worked to raise awareness and funds for this fantastic charity, helping support the important work they do within our local community.
One particular highlight was our first charity quiz night, which raised over £3,000 for the cause.
Seeing clients, partners, friends and supporters come together to support such a worthy cause reminded us exactly why community matters.
Building More Than a Business
One of the things we’re most proud of is the community we’ve built around CE People.
Whether that’s through networking events, webinars, training sessions, partnerships or simply picking up the phone to support a client, we’ve been fortunate enough to meet some incredible people along the way.
Northamptonshire has an amazing business community, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of it.
We’ve built friendships, partnerships and client relationships that we hope will continue for many years to come.

The last two years have exceeded every expectation we had.
